Interlaken and Outside Grindelwald

Interlaken is in a prime location in the Berner Oberland and seems to exist for
the sole (somewhat tacky and consumerist) entertainment of hordes of tourists all year round.
However it is very conveniently located for one-day excursions around the area,
and is only a short walk to Lake Thun.

The others photos were taken on walks outside Grindelwald.

This was my first attempt at negative scanning with a flatbed,
so apologies for the strange colours and lack of sharpness!

View from our hotel room (Hotel Bellevue) in Interlaken. It was blissful to wake up to such a mountain!

Overlooking the Hohematte where you can sometimes find cows grazing peacefully.

On the flat path between Kleine Scheidegg and Mannlichen, just before a small snowstorm!

View on the hike from Grindelwald to Pfingsteggbahn - it was a very drizzly, misty day.

Just before crossing a glacier gorge (Gletscherschlucht), a short walk away from Marmorbruch.

My lovely Pissarro trees by the banks of the River Lutschine just outside the main village of Grindelwald.
