An avant-garde acting troupe are hired to inject new life into the annual Passion Play at the St. Joseph's Basilica in Montreal.The cast throw themselves into the project with gusto and produce their own somewhat unconventional interpretation of the cruxifixion. However, the life of the charismatic lead actor develops an allegorical similarity to that of Christ himself, with ultimately and inevitably tragic consequences.

A chronically-lazy postman Roy goes on his daily rounds and does nothing to assure us about the reliability of the Oslo postal service. He becomes infatuated with a woman Line, and one day finds her apartment key in her postbox. He lets inself into her apartment like the classic voyeur, only to discover hints lying around that she has perpetrated some awful crime. But in his affection for her, he remains curiously sympathetic and even protective of her as the true story gradually unfolds... into a bit of an anti-climax.
